Besaraha I don't like baklava but your own and homemade recipe seems very delicious.
Teslam edayki Summer.
I have never made my own baklava before, you make it seem less difficult than I thought it would be.
I like the idea of putting almonds in them, I love almonds. It all sounds so delicious.
Thank you for commenting on my son's video, that was very kind of you.
Mona, I do not like sweets that much but i like to make this baklava because it is easy to make and looks nice when you have people over, it is kinda impressive!! makes you look like a very prfessional Pastry chef!
Thanks always for coming by.
natashya, thanks for your visit here!
it is not difficult at all to make, you just need to be careful about keeping the phyllo dough moinst while working so it does not break into pieces. the rest is a breez to make.
Mmm these look so delicious. I don't like the ones from the store but the homemade ones I've had have always been good. I like the idea of using pistachios instead, probably with rose water syrup. If I use pistachios, do you think I should change the spices? If so, what do you recommend? Thanks!
Lillian,
glad you liked the recipe. I like it better with pistachios! for sure you have to change the spices or in this case you do not add any...just the pistachios and the white sugar. and continue with the recipe as it is. rose water compliments the taste of pistachios also, so you can use it instead of orange blossom water for sure.
thanks for checking up the recipe.
I love baklava and this recipe looks really good!
Thank you foodycat for coming by and leaving a comment. hope it works out for you.
hi Summer, can you believe I had in mind to blog about Baklava this coming weekend?! Yours looks delicious and you've got me craving some now - how am I even going to wait till the weekend?
I absolutely love Pistachios from Halab, but I only have about 1 cup left from my last trip and so I'm gonna make my baklava with walnuts.
Tony, thanks for coming by! i actually like the ones with pistachios more than the ones with walnuts in them. but since i did not have any, i had to use walnuts! once i used cashews and those were really good! you do not have to think of how fattening they were, but they were heavenly!
can't wait to read about your baklava!
